Chapter Menu's Don't Highlight Properly

Bargy

Question

I'm running Creator 2010 and trying to move all my VHS over to DVD's. I edit the iso file and add chapters however when I burn the DVD the chapters are there however they do not highlight properly. With my curser on Chhapter 1, there is a small vertical line on the left side of the chapter picture. When I move the curser to Chapter 2, there is a larger highlighhted bar in Chapter 1 picture. I've been working with Roxio support and they haven't been able to find anything, and it's been about 2 weeks now. I've been working with one avi file that is 46818.4 Mb. As a test, I cut the file in half and tryed it, but that didn't work, so I cut it in half again and was able to get the chapters to work properly. Has anyone else had this problem??????

Thanks,

John

You will have to explain with more detail and with references to what program from C2010 you are using. I don't quite understand what you mean by "Edit the iso file". These files cannot be edited directly so you will have to explain that.

Also file sizes are not important, its the time length of the video that matters. A standard 4.7GB DVD can hold 60 minutes of video at best quality, any longer and the video has to be compressed and many users have found problems with menus when used with highly compressed video.

Yes, there was a known issue when putting long video on one disc. If your video is 3hrs long, that could be the problem. I thought this was addressed in the last update, but I could be wrong.

Personally, I try not to put more the 90min on a 4.7GB disc and have never had menu problems.
