Label Creator And Video Wave

Antonadc

Question

After installing lightscribe on my computer and I want to print a label the print dialog comes up with lightscribe disc and you have to wait a while till it detects the drive. How can I make my laser printer the default printer so that it does not come up with the lightscribe drive the whole time.

In video wave I make a photo album. When I run the video the pictures stack on top of each other and the bottom one does not go away. you end up with all the photos printing on top of each other. Wide and narrow ones and the wide ones at the back does not go away. How do I make it so that the previous photo is deleted before the new one shows.

Thanks Anton

Have you set the laser printer as default in windows or is this only with Creator 2010?

If it's Windows, go to control panel, printers, right click to select the laser and 'set as default'

I've tried to duplicate this (I don't use lightscribe personally, but I loaded up the software.)

In Label Creator, I switched from Lightscribe (default as last driver installed) to my Epson and closed down. When I restarted the app, the Epson came up as default.

Are you using the full Label Creator or the 'Express' version?

In answer to your second question:

Have you:

1) Installeed Creator 2010 SP2(link)?

2) Have you updated the drivers for your NVidia video device (card or chip)

It would be a great help if you would put your computer specs and version in your signature. Go to the top of this page and click on MySettings; you sould be able to see how to change your signature there usingthe Profile tab.

We go through this from time to time.

It cannot be done, it will end reverting to the LightScribe Drive whenever a "disc" is selected to print...

But thanks for the reminder, I'll suggest it again ;)

Thanks never thought of that. Will check it again.

Anton

Thanks for fast response. Have done what you said and yes I have done SP2. With all updates. I downloaded NVIDIA screendriver about 2weeks ago.

Playing a little more I just realized that it depends on whether you have selected Paperpost-39730-005145800 1279798986.jpg or Plastic post-39730-060747300 1279798986.jpg when you click on Print… :o

If 'Paper' it comes up as the Printer!

Minor downside is that if you cannot get to the LightScribe from within the Print diaglog… You have to cancel, select Plastic and click Print again.

Still, it will be helpful for all the paper printing that most of us do.

(and I did bring this issue up again)
