Turn Off Hardware Acceleration?

SFMI

Question

Is there a way I can turn off video overlay / hardware acceleration in Roxio Media Import?? I would like to be able to record using a screen recorder, but currently the video area just records as a black box.

Please help

Perhaps the terms you posted are familiar to you but not necessarily to us in context. Video Acceleration is a Windows setting and depends on which version of Windows you are using.

Video Overlay??

Hardware encode - not hardware acceleration is usually in Video Wave or in My DVD.

Screen recorder? , I'm familiar with Jing and with Camtasia Studio but what are you trying to use?

You cannot do a screen capture using Media Import. Are you trying to use a TV card/device or are you trying to capture a video from something like YouTube? For YouTube use Video Copy and convert. Make sure you have Creator 2010 SP2 installed.
