Yes, it can be done easily but unless each video is 30 minutes or less I would not recommend it. A standard 4.7GB DVD can only hold 60 minutes of video, any longer and the video has to be compressed. The longer the video time, the more compressions is required and the more quality you will lose. You have not really told us though what you really want to do: simply archive the video from the VHS tapes or create a video DVD to be played on a DVD player.
