Hi...new here. I'd like to create a guided meditation cd with both voice and music...I have a voice recorder but how do i create the music background? Thank you in advance.

Start by telling us what Roxio version you have (if any). There are number of ways to put music and narration together. You choice of music and words.

If you have Creator 2010 PRO, you can use Sonic Fire to select and edit music to sound like what you need or you can buy a CD and rip the needed music form the CD to your computer. How familiar are you with computers. It sounds like there are some basic understanding that you need help with.

Ok...here's the real deal...I LOL'd when I read the line, "how familiar are you with computers." I can log on  well, maybe a bit more...I just did the "rip" thing with a cd, that worked. That's as far as I am...are you willing to be my guide? You are a G.U.R.U., right?

Guru has no punctuations and there are many of them. The first question I asked, you didn't answer. I cannot help if I don't know what Roxio product and version you are working with. Take your time. This one isn't hard.

By the way, if you are expecting an OFFICIAL Roxio answer, you came to the wrong place; we are all U.S.E.R.S. ;) here.

Sorry Guru, about the Gee You Are You bit. OK, down to business: Roxio Creator DE. Is that all the info you need? I'll add this just in case...Dell Inspiron 530, Vista, blah blah. And btw, I'm a therapist and I deal with lots of U.S.E.R.S. in my work :P

Thank you,

JJ

Yes and no. You have the free and limited (castrated) version of the Roxio Program. Not many people have it. Open it and see what audio programs you have. I hope you see something like Sound Editor. It may be hidden in one of the audio project applications. Does yours look like this ? If so, you do not have Sound Editor so you cannot make a audio compilation that I know of with that version. Again, I do not have it so I can only be 99.99% sure.

Roxio doesn't sell a stand alone product that contains Sound Editor. You can Google for one (like GoldWave NOT free) or you can consider a version of Creator 2009 or Creator 2010. You may find 2009 on something like e-bay less expensively. Don't get a cut down version (DE,SE, etc.)

Are you planning to do any video editing now or in the near future? If so, you can consider Creator.
