Roxio Creator 2010 Special Edition Not Responding

Deanregan

Question

I have installed/clean uninstalled/re-installed until I am blue in the face. I have followed numerous suggestions from this forum. I bought this edition from costco in december and have not been able to run it yet.

Currently, as others have noted, when I try to open any application of Roxio, I get a splash of the Roxio logo sometimes, and nothing happens. Please help me get this running.

I am running Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service pack 3. My system is Intel Celeron 2.66 GHz, 1.92GB RAM

I don't think your Celeron system is able to run C2010. These are the minimum requirements as listed by Roxio (they are a joke):

  1. For data burning and copy, audio capture and editing: Intel® 1.6 GHz Pentium 4 processor or AMD equivalent, 512 MB RAM for Windows XP and 1GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7. For video editing and conversion and DVD playback: Intel Pentium 4 2GHz processor or AMD equivalent and 1GB RAM. Multi-core processor with at least 2GB RAM recommended.

Some things should still be able to run???

From the Home app, click on Help About and tell us the full version number:

In the Data / Copy tab, click on Burn Data Disc. Does that one appear to work.

Then skip the Home app and go directly to the programs through the Start Menu:

Try Label Creator?

Then Music Disc Creator?

And VideoWave?

What happens this way?
