Question

Just bought Roxio 2010 Creator, loaded in to C:drive a home viedo, want to cut out segments out of the viedo, have tried to use trime feature but it just cuts off a start and end not segments out of the internal viedo..and if you can do this feature does it cut out the audion as well..??

Removing a section of video is one of the basic editing functions. It will of course also remove the audio for that section. Trim will only remove video at the beginning or end of a segment.

 

In Videowave, switch to the timeline view.

Select the main video track and move the blue cursor to the start of the section you want to remove. Hit the split icon and you will now have two video segments. Now select the 2nd segment and move the cursor to where the segment to be removed ends, again hit the split icon. the second segment is now split into 2 segments, ie. you now have 3 segments showing on the timeline. Select the middle segment (which is the one you want to remove) and hit the red X (delete).

 

By expanding the time line and stepping the cursor frame by frame, you can position the cursor accurately.

 

There are other ways of deleting sections but this should work for you.
