Roxio Creator 2010 Videowave (Not Responding) Message

lingil

Question

After using Videowave for the past 3 hrs trying to assemble video clips and photos, the screen has frozen/jammed twice and message "Roxio Videowave (Not Responding)" is received. This has happened twice and I have lost all my work. I can not pin down what I am doing wrong. I had several photo files open, not sure if that makes a difference. I had Roxio 2009 (which Roxio assisted me in totally removing), so am familiar with the basics of videowave. Can anyone provide insight to this novice. (I hope I am providing sufficient information below on my system).

So how long do you wait before deciding that VW really is "not responding"? I get that message sometimes if I am loading a long video or if some other app is very active (such as anti-virus). You have of course been saving your work as you go along?

How long in time is your project? What do you mean you had several photo files open?

I waited 45 minutes and it occurred when I was editing a portion of video wave. It is possible the anti virus was in the background. The files I had minimized on the start bar (hope I am answering this correctly. I redid a portion of the project last night and saved it and will go back in today and try it again

First thing to try is when you open VideoWave, go to Tools – Options – Render and set it to Software.

Try that for a time.

You can always run a Repair from the Install just be sure you add the Updates afterwards.

I will try your suggestion and let you know if it works. Thank you.

Does the bolded text above refer to the photo files you had open as mentioned in an earlier post? With what program did you open them? Are you using any of those "Open" photos in your project? What happens if you close those open photos?
