Easy Media Creator 9.....my Dvd

mike211

Question

Created movie/slideshow from recent trip to Jamaica. Used mostly pictures in cinemagic movie but also used some video clips in with photos. When I watch them as I am creating them or previewing them the videos work fine. But once I burn them to DVD the videos just come up as a picture with the audio. What am I doing wrong?

AGH  !!!! CineMagic for a video of what was probably a great trip. Use VideoWave to do the project. I don't remember anyone using CineMagic with a blend of images and videos.

Please post the steps you are taking to burn the DVD.

Never use Cinemagic!

Use Videowave to assemble you photos, videos, audio, transitiopns, etc Save you project as a VW project files, it will have the extension "dmsm". Exit VW and launch myDVD. Add the previously created "dmsm" file, make your menu and burn.

place

I remember in Help that My DVD mentioned video wave, but I see no place that says to use it but I have no place else where it mentions video wave. I used cinemagic because it is listed in the menu on the left side of the program and it includes videos and photos. To burn the the dvd, I used the drop down list under file and used burn project to disc

Videowave is one of the programs listed in the Applications panel on the EMC 9 Homepage. If you don't have that listing then you may have a an OEM version of the program which will have some features crippled or missing.

What is the full name and version number of your EMC 9 suite? Where did you buy it or did it come with your computer or a burner you bought?

Yep, sure sound like the old OEM version. When you open CineMagic and go to the third step, do you have an option to go to Video Wave?

Also look at the Windows start menu for Roxio Creator and see if Video Wave is one of the listed applications.

If not, contact Dell or whomever your computer manufacturer is to 1) Ask if you can mix pictures and video and have the video play, if so, ask for a disc so you can reinstall it. You can also ask if Video Wave is included.

Please post our computer specs in your signature via My Contact at the top of this page.

It's odd. When I go into Help it lists help for My DVD or Video Wave....but video wave is not listed anywhere else.

Thanks for all your help!

This is a case of needing to read the small print. I think it says something along the line of --not all version of the product have all the features.

Mike,

They use the standard Help file for the cut-down versions, and justify that with the phrase that Steve pointed out.

To see if you have Videowave in your version, go to the Start button > All Programs and navigate through as this screenclip shows. If you don't see Videowave in the Video menu as shown, or at the location given by the pop-up on my screen clip, then I'm sorry but it seems your version doesn't have it. :(
