Disc Repeats

SoccerPictureman

Question

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7. I am using Roxio 10 to create slide shows with music. I do this in VideoWave. When I am done I preview in VideoWave and the slide show runs fine. I choose the option to send it to MyDVD and create the DVD. I preview the DVD in MyDVD and everything is fine. I then burn the DVD to a folder. Lastly I use Roxio Easy Media Creater to make a data disk with the folders that the burn created. No errors. When I watch the DVD It will play 1/2 to 2/3 of the DVD and then start over. I created 2 DVDs. One of Disney and one of the beach and both started over when I played them.

I am using the Easy Media Creator 10. I have pictures from the beach. I use VideoWave to create a slideshow, add transitions and music. I preview the slideshow and no problems. I sent the production to MyDVD. I create the DVD and preview it with no problems. I then burn the DVD to a folder. Lastly I open Easy Media Creator Suite and choose the option to make a data disk. I copy the two folders created in the burn process to the DVD. When I view the DVD in a DVD player the DVD plays as it should. I get 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the viewing and the DVD loops back to the beginning (not the menu) and starts to play again. I have tried more then one DVD player and it happens on all player.

I merged this post with the original thread.

I ask again, what program from EMC 10 did you use to copy the 2 folders to the DVD? Be specific in the name of the program, exactly what options did you select?

To burn the CD I open Easy Media CD Creator Suite 10 and choose data disk. I add the 2 folders ROXIOPLASMA and VIDEO_TS and copy. If I play the DVD on the laptop I created the DVD with it plays properly. But as soon as I put it in a DVD player it repeats the symptoms.

Other points of interest.

Brand of media is Verbatim. I am using a laptop wiht Windows 7 and using the Windows Media Center to view the DVD when it works on the computer. I have viewed it on serveral computers and it works. I did create a menu on the DVD.

Sorry for the confusion.

I go to Start, All Programs, Easy Media Creator 10, VideoWave to create the slide show.

To burn the DVD I open the Easy Media Creator Suite and choose a data disk and insert the folders Video_TS and ROXIOPLASMA

You are in the wrong forum. This is the forum for Roxio Creator 2010 and you have Easy Media Creator 10, a version that is 3 years old now. You thread will be/has been moved to the EMC 10 forum.

Exactly what program from EMC 10 are you using to burn the Video_TS folder to the DVD?

Dis you create the DVD with or without menu?

Are you really trying to burn the project to a CD? Do you really have "Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning" (Red Box)? If you do, then it has been updated for W7.

If you do have Easy Media Creator 10 or what ever else - there is still some confusion-, it is not compatible with Windows 7. Read this. There was some confusion because you originally posted in Creator 2010 which is compatible with W7.

You might try to create an ISO file from the project and then use something like ImgBurn to burn it to disc. (Just to see if it works.)

Lets try to determine what program package you are using. You post in the Roxio Creator 2010 forum and state that you are using Roxio 10. There is no such program as Roxio 10. Then you say you used Easy media Creator to make a data disc. There are several Easy Media Creator (EMC) versions, last was EMC 10, about 3 years ago. If you are using Eindows 7 then most likely you are using Roxio Creator 2010 (C2010 if you want to use a short form) since EMC 10 will not work with W7.

Now, when you created the DVD did you create it with or without menu? Did your burn it to Video_TS folder set? Lastly what program did you use to burn the "folder" to the DVD?
