What is the best format (from Videowave drop down list) to burn the best quality DVD that will play on both DVD players and on the PC DVD drive?

The best quality for a DVD that is to be played on a standard DVD player is set in myDVD by selecting the HQ quality.

The format is the same. It's authored as a DVD-video disc.

 

For it to play on a PC, from a DVD capable drive, you must have a media player capable of playing DVD-Video Discs. Such as CinePlayer (included in Roxio products), Cyberlink DVD players (sometimes comes free with a dvd drive), VLC Player (free, plays virtually everything). Windows Media Player (WMP) btw typically is not capable of playing those discs without a plugin.
