Re: Need Help On Copying A Game Dvd

Hello

 

I have not copyied a DVD for a long time. I bought a game Hoyle Card Games, and it has animation and icon voices on it etc... I want to copy this DVD and send it to a friend. I do not know what to ask for on Roxio, whether it should be a straight copy disk or copy movie or what. I did try to do the copy disk, and it copied okay and told me to insert a blank disk. According to my DVD information on the disk there should be no problem and enough room to accept all on the game dvd. But it kept asking me for blank disks. After trying this for 4 times I finally stopped it, and found out that on these blank disks there was nothing being recorded. I need to send this out by Monday at the latest. Please can someone help me out by telling me what and where to go to download this great game DVD.

I see Amazon.com has the Hoyle's Card Games 2010 disc for $17.95. That's the proper way to send it to your friend.

I know about the copyright laws, but I thought that since I had bought the DVD originally from Broderbund that I would be able to do a copy of it, not only for my own files to keep as a backup but to install on someone else's computer, because whenever I have bought programs like Norton, these are good to install on 3 computers since I have the license for them. I thought the games would work the same way.

I'm afraid all you actually bought was a disc and a license to install the program

 

You aren't allowed to make a copy (even for your own backup purposes)

Sorry GeeCee, but Roxio software is not meant to copy protected discs in breach of copyright.

 

I don't know where you can download your game DVD.
