Is Roxio powerful enough to make the Superman style effects? Can we rotate the text somehow? For example, have the text fly in and then be able to rotate it and then have a sort of after burn effect. Has anyone done this with Roxio?

Here is some information from karri on text. Pick what you need. The text effects are canned and yu can tweak them but you cannot build one from scratch.

Roxio Photoshow has some of the text effects you are talking about. I had to purchase it as an add on. However, apparently you can't use the same text effects in regular Roxio video edit. (thats what I just found out) (but I too am new to this.)

I was researching online and found Adobe Premiere. It does what I would like it to do with the text, but I was hoping that I wouldn't have to relearn another video editing program. I might have to though. I'd like something that is a bit more powerful than Roxio 2010. I'll have a look at the add ons to see if they have anything. Thanks for your input. :)

Adobe Premier is $800 :o Are you sure that you want to spend that kind of money? Premier Elements is at least close to the $100. I had an earlier version and it was more basic that anything then Roxio had.

Have you explored all the text options in Video Wave? There are about 57 pre-made text options; there are about 35 options for how the text moves in and the same number for how it moves out. Have you looked at the frame, transparency, color, position, 3D, etc options? Perhaps you want more but for now, it provides everything that I would need. Image below is someof the text movement in options; there are more and the same number of movement out options.

If you want more, I would go with the text editing options.

Just for information, are you a professional and selling your DVD projects?
