Slideshow Assistant - Order Of Slides

WilliamF

Question

Often, when I add new slides to a project, the order of the previous slides changes. I started by adding a group of JPG pictures from my digital camera. Then I added some custom JPG pictures with titles from PowerPoint and moved these where I wanted them among the previous slides. Sometimes, when I add a new group of pictures, Roxio Slideshow Assistant moves the title pictures from PowerPoint to the end. How can I preserve my desired order?

Thanks.

Do not use the Slideshow Assistant for creating slideshows. It's a simple program with very few features and often leads to all sorts of problem. The preferred method is to use Videowave (Edit video - Advanced) to assemble you slideshow (including the audio, transitions, effects, etc) and then save as a VW project (will have the extension dmsm). Then exit VW and launch myDVD (Create DVDs), add the dmsm project file, create the menu and burn.

I never really use it, but from what I can see it simply piles them on the end each time you add new ones…

Here I have 3, Sea Wall/Ocean shots followed by 2, Grassy shots and then 3, Umbrella shots:

If I ignore that for now and keep going to the last step, there is an option to go to VideoWave:

There in Storyline, I can move things around and put them where I want!

As you get a little more familiar with VideoWave, you will never want to go back to CineMagic ;)
