Uploading Specific Video Files

When I capture and upload video scenes from my Canon HF20, it uploads all the previous scenes in the camera. I have to wait forever until all are captured, then designate the latest ones I want to put in a new file. Is there a way to just designate in Roxio which scenes I want? I can do this in the camcorder by date, etc. but it doesn't correlate with what Roxio uploads.

It sounds like that is a function of your camcorder? How does Roxio know that you don't want to redown them?

Sorry, I meant re-download them (or re-upload them) to your computer.

I think that is what the program is doing because when I click Capture, it brings up a screen with a video button in upper left. When I click this, it converts or uploads (not sure of the terminology) all of my scenes in the camera. I must be missing something. I've tried designating only certain scenes in the most recent video I took in the camera but this doesn't "translate" to Roxio.

Personally I never use Media Import, preferring to use Windows Explorer an make my own decisions

 

If you use Media Import, it will import everything unless you Click and Ctrl-Click to select individual files. In this screen cap, only the Highlighted files will be imported:
