Julian Solomons
Did a Tivo to Toast transfer of two HD programs. With the Toast Video Player they are in perfect sync. When I burn to a BluRay disc (using an external Pioneer BR burner the video and sound are out of sync. Any clues please? Should I save the initial transfer to an external drive? Any suggestions would be very gratefully received. (MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 duo, 10.6)
tsantee
Is Toast encoding the video or is it multiplexing the video when you click the burn button? If it is encoding, go to the Custom Encoder Settings window and choose MPEG 2 as the encoder and choose Never Re-encode in order to force multiplexing instead. Let me know what you've found. I did a HD TiVo transfer and created a Blu-ray disc image (I don't have a Blu-ray recorder or player). I then played the .mts video file inside the disc image with VLC Media Player and the audio was in sync for me. I had Toast multiplex rather than encode the video.
