Roxio Mydvd

SRTera

Question

I am trying to use the Create DVD program in VHS to DVD. I have 2 questions.

1).

I was looking at different styles of background that Roxio offers. I choose the Corkboard style, I noticed their was a sample picture in the Main Menu layout. Once I imported the Corkboard style, instead of the sample picture, it was just a checkerboard. So How do I import my own picture to get where the sample picture use to be

2).

Also I was adding sub-menu's, like a 2003 section, 04, and Special Features, but the sample style of corkboard had a Chapter menu background style, but it didnt show when I added the submenu, do I upload the video 1st then it will change the menu style?

EDIT*****

ok nevermind, I figured it out the sample picture is the video(I added a vid and previewed it) but still is there a way just to put a picture up instead?

EDIT AGAIN********

Dis-regard everything I said, I figured it out

I would rather have still pictures showing up instead of the video preview, the preview is like only show the 1st 5 secs of video, and my 1st 5 secs of video is just a black color panel with the my event name written in text

I see a couple of ways…

The easiest is to click on the Motion or Still menu Icon at the top and select Still. This will leave you with the first frame of the first movie:

Plan B: use the settings by selecting the box and changing the Source to a File.

Trick in this one is that the file needs to be a Movie File

That is easy to do in VideoWave and export your still as an mpg or any other format. Default Menu cycle is 27 seconds so you may want to set the Trim Length in VW to match that???

Since it will be a movie anyway, you could get a little creative and have fade in/out… or an overlay effect… <_<

Keep in mind my KISS approach to menus ~ nobody will remember how cool your menu was, they will remember the content!
