Purchased Online - Can't Apply Service Packs?

Question

These messages seem to indicate that if you purchased Creator online for download, you can't utilize the the service pack. Am I missing something?

You must own a valid copy of the full, retail version of Creator 2010.

If you did not purchase a retail copy, this update will not work for any other version of Creator or Easy Media Creator.

Is there any chance that the product you have installed is actually Easy Media Creator 10, and not Creator 2010? They're two different products, two major revisions apart (Creator 2009 was in between). Did you just purchase/download recently? From the Roxio/Sonic website?

To answer your question directly, the updates should be applicable to the download version as well. We just need to make sure you're trying to apply the right update to the right product.
