Vhs Capture Not Recorded

Dell Dimension 8300, Emuzed video capture card with Dell break-out-box (came with Dell Movie Studio Plus), Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate. Sony VHS/DVD player.

 

Capture video: Sees the "Dell Movie Studio Video Device." Turn on Sony player and play VHS. Roxio sees the signal and permits capturing. Capturing with an initial Media Import "Screen" blink. Capturing occurring, but no picture/sound. Stop capture and save file. Nothing in the file(0kb).

 

Have deleted Dell Movie Studio Plus and older "NERO" software. Did a complete uninstall and install of Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate following instructions downloaded - "remove program", search and delete of remaining Roxio/Sonic folders, etc., and registry deletion of same.

 

Not sure what Emuzed card is used nor can the computer find any driver updates. Everything seems to functioning ok, but nothing is recorded/saved. HELP!

Regarding the Emuzed card..

The Emuzed EvcampMaui Device drivers are now available from the Lumanate website. This is because Emuzed sold off its operations to the latter. The device is a Video capture and TV tuner card, which is meant for use on the PCU. It can operate on both MPEG1 and MPEG2 to create DVD and VCD in compatible streams. The device also supports PAL and NTSC versions, which are available at both low and high profiles. Applications for the device include ShowShifter manufactured by Home-Media Networks, MyDVD studio version 6.2 by Sonic and Monsoon Multimedia by Snappy soft. The device fits into the standard PCI slot perfectly. After the device has been firmly inserted on the slot, the user should then run the device software, in order to enable the full functions of the device. The user can capture D-1 video clips using the device on the PC.
