Capture And Convert

Question

I'm trying to get web video from a local sports broadcast of my grandson playing baseball. I just want to get a short clip to add to home videos to send to college coaches. I get it captured, but it ends up being a FLV file, whatever that is. This file won't work on Creator, if you double click it, it will play on Adobe Media Player. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO CONVERT AND PUT ON A DVD.

I hope someone can help.

AC.

AC,

The FLV file is a Flash Video file, and it will work in Creator.

Run 'Copy and Convert Video' from the home menu

See the 'Add Source:" heading? Click 'Movies'

A Media Selector box will open. Use it like Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder your FLVs are saved in. Highlight the one(s) you want and click OK

This will put the clip(s) into the source box, where you can preview it/them by highlighting the clip and clicking the play button under the word Source, where my mouse pointer is.

When you've finished previewing, click the return button where the play button was, and you'll be back at my third screenclip, above.

When you've added as many videos as you want, select the type of output you want by moving the slider bar at the top right. In my screenclip it is set to DVD, but there are a whole bunch of different output types. As I have it set, pressing the green arrow button will start the conversion and write a DVD to either a hard drive folder or a disc. However setting it to other output types will produce files you can edit or add to a DVD project being made in MyDVD.

Hope this helps you.
