Record Now Ver 6.5.0 On Xp

Question

I want to buy equivalent S/W for "EXACT COPY" function. I am copying DVD with .vob files. Plays on computer or tv DVD player. I no longer see this ver for sale & the current product with similar name looks like a Music product??

If you are trying to copy commercial DVDs then no Roxio software will do it since it is illegal.

Not commercial. It is a series of DVDs made by a friend from old 16mm films.

What is wrong with your existing version, have you upgraded your O/S.

Correct, new windows 7 & currently used RecordNow ver 6.5.0 running on XP will not install on win 7.

I doubt very much that RecordNow is anywhere near compatible with Win 7.

Exactly. That is why I asked, what would be the 'new' functional equivalent Roxio S/W.

Maybe the built in Windows DVD Maker in Win 7 will do what you need.

If all you want to do is make an exact copy of a disc then there are all sorts of free utilities out there to do that. ImgBurn is one such utility.

Of course if you want to make copies of commercial DVDs, then no "legal" program will do it.
