Capture Settings For Vhs

Question

Can anyone please explain if there are any advantages to using a higher capture setting when tranferring from a standard VHS tape? It seems that the file size increases significantly, but I don't see a significant increase in video quality. Thank you in advance!

Better retained quality if you are doing multiple renderings…

In the latest version of V2D (201B) there is no choice and you get "DV HQ" period!

In this day and age, it is just fine!

Of course since you do have an earlier version, why not do a couple of DVD RW's captured both ways and see what you think… ;)
