Toast 7.1 - Sense Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST

sbts8090

Question

I was trying to burn data DVDs today.

I did essentially a same thing yesterday too.

Toast worked with 7.0 yesterday, but today does not with 7.1

showing a message as written in the title.

My environment:

PowebookG4 1GHz 12"

Mac OS X 10.4.7 Tiger

DVD Burner = Plexter PX-740A connection via USB2.0

Media = TDK DVD-R 16x

This is a self-reply.

As getting back to 7.0.2 did not work,

this might be a problem of OS X part or the drive part.

Although DVD burning does not work,

CD-R burning is not impaired at all.

I will try to figure it out and make a post again, if any.

Toast 7.1 is now working with PX-740UF connected via Firewire.

It seems like a problem, at least partly, on the DVD burner,

considering Plextor claims it is Mac-compatible.
