What The ?- Where's The Download?

Journo

Question

Hi, I'm a new user to Toast 10 Titanium Pro. Bought it boxed over the counter and had no troubles with install of the whole package. Received my registration email and created an account to log in. Went to updates, clicked on the Update Toast 10 to 10.0.7 and then? . . . . . . . nothing, nada, nyet - I was back at the Roxio Support Page. Filled out a support ticket; the reply of which only asked me to do as I had already done. Same result. So, I've extended the ticket. I am using Opera as a browser - mainly because an associate cannot even get an active download page with Safari or Firefox.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered the weird disappearing update and if so, what happened to get a result. Cheers, Journo

Have figured out what is happening,

After 2 contacts with roxio just telling me to go to the update website, but the last one said to disable virus protection, which is a little unhelpful. I had a look at the virus protection software. I am using virus barrier X6 and under the surf tab, there is a second tab which is information hiding. Click that tab and uncheck "Hide information about last web site visited". This has allowed the download to happen, because the download is on a different server which needs information to be passed on to it to allow the download to happen.

Hope this help
