Creator 2010 Pro? What Mic are you using? I would worry about feedback and overdriving the recording using that USB Mic. Do you have a Mic that you could plug into your audio card/chip to try? My guess is that it would work without the POP.

Are there any settings on the Mic you can change to lower the pickup?

Im using my sons Logitech USB mic. We are recording sound bites for a halloween haunt and looking at the Roxio sound meter we are over driving the sound. I believe that i have eliminated the equipment as the problem. I brought home a better mic from work and I still get the popping noise. I temporarily loaded Adobe Soundbooth to the computer with Roxio and using the Logitech USB mic i did not get any poping noise. Again i only get the poping noise when I use creator pro. That is why i think it has something to do with either the program or my settings. I would leave soundbooth on this computer but I only have one licence and the computer will be heading off to collage soon.
