hootowl 153
I purchased a HP TouchSmart desk top. I also purchased the Roxio Photo Suite v9 that came pre loaded on the computer.Problem, there was no manual on how to use this program & have not a clue. I'v contacted Roxio and they tell me they no longer support this program and that I would need to contact HP. I'v contacted HP and they tell me I would need to contact Roxio. A 100% run around. Can any one help me find a manual so I can learn to use this program ? I paid an extra $ 50 + for a Program I can't use ! Thank You
gi7omy
HP speak with forked tongue As an OEM part of the licensing agreement is THEY have to provide support for the bundled apps (but as you have found out, they will try to fob you off)

Have them refund the money; I bet they will suddenly find you some documentation. Have you looked on-line? Have you used the help function in the program? Look in the Windows folder for the program; HP may have hidden it there. What can't you do? This is from something else but it may help . People expect if it says Roxio (as it does in the title name) that you can go to them for a manual. Anything less is just a poor product period. I don't care who you lay the blame on (HP or Roxio). There should be an old manuals download page somewhere. - But don't let these kind of things frustrate you too much. We are all experiencing things like this. Companies who can't provide the expected service are loosing their brand image (HP, Roxio or BOTH!).

gi7omy
Also keep in mind that the manuals available here are for the full retail versions - and any OEM product will have a fair number of the apps described surgically removed (so not all of the manual will apply to the product you have)

Previous advice given here still applies though, you may not have all the features because of the OEM version. Other older manuals at bottom of this page. Not quite true - it's a Roxio product made especially for HP to their specs and part of any OEM agrement is that the OEM provides the support (including any manuals). Different OEM versions do have differences with each other and while Roxio provides a manual for the retail (full) version, it can't supply manuals for every OEM variant Part of the in-built burning software in Windows is supplied by Roxio - and they don't supply a manual for that (nor support). That's down to Microsoft

So, have you downloaded it, from the links your were given in this thread? There is nothing wrong with pissing and moaning, but it really does get to a point, that further pissing and moaning is pointless. I believe that you have reached that point.
