Image Fade Just Before And After A Transition

Post Oak

Question

When producing a video, the preview looks good, but the final cut on the DVD has this problem. Just before and after a transition, the picture fades slightly. I'm using an HP Pavilion e91807 desktop and just upgraded my graphics card to a NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT. All my drivers are current. Can someone give me a suggestion how to resolve this?

Did you install Creator 2010 SP2?

While you are at it, install the Internet video fix also.

That type of performance is typical to nVidia. Are you working on a new project or an old one? Delete the dat file that goes along with that project and look again.

Thanks for the suggestion. Changing to software rendering seems to resolve the issue, but most of my 3-D video effects disappear with this type of rendering.

Unfortunately it is one or the other.

Where did you get the 9600? It is sort of dated. Many new cards now have 1G of on-board memory. Yours probably has 128 or 256 mb memory. With the newer products, that is just not enough to do the 3D graphics without problems.

Are you sure that you have the latest driver for that card and your OS? Go here to check. It looks like July was the last update.
