I find it a "rip off" that I have to purchase the Roxio Premium every year in order to have full use of my Roxio Creator 2010. I purchased the software from Costco for $80 only to find out that I can't domwload my own music into my Photoshows. In order to do this, I have to purchase a yearly subscription of $40. I will not be buying any further Roxio software. I was under the impression that if I purchased the software, i had full use of the features, only to find out I have to pay repeatedly.

You are paying for the PhotoShow application, maintenance, storage and web space..

It has nothing to do with the operation of Creator 2010. PhotoShow in Creator 2010 is a OEM (limited) version of the program. If you have the Premium version, you can download the full PhotoShow Version 6 and use that as a desktop application; just don't renew yearly.

If you want to make slide shows with your own music, you can/should make them with Edit Video -Advanced (Video Wave). Be warned that nothing will allow you to use DRM protected music (Itunes and the like).
