Crash Upon Installing

duelingken

Question

Roxio 2011 bought online. When installing on XP Service Pack 3 computer, my installation program freezes after selecting "Next" on box asking if I want to provide inputs to Roxio. Tried Safe Mode - no luck, turned off anti-virus and firewall - no luck. Anyone have this problem? I have to turn off computer and reboot to get out of program.

"My car" is a Sony RC210G

3 ghz speed

2G Ram

320G hard drive

Windows XP MediaCenter edition SP3

Radeon X300 series graphics

I have since been able to install 2011 without any problems on my Windows 7 HP laptop, but I bought to use it on this more powerful CPU

since I have full Nero on the lap top. I had Roxio EMC 10 on Sony it previously but even it won't reinstall so I suspect some file corruption is blocking me. Had lots of problems with Roxio 10 and finally discarded it. New program is great improvement. Have owned four previous versions of EMC so am not unfamiliar with its quirks.

On that computer where it won't install and you has issues with EMC 10, use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of the left over regitry items/folders. Do this on the Sonyand then reinstall.
