Conflict With Itunes 10

tome

Question

I recieved some updates notifications after intalling Roxio 2011. One of them includes an update to corefoundation. This file is also used in iTunes 10. I had to uninstall iTunes earlier today because it said it could not find this DLL. After reinstalling it was fine. Now I don't want to allow the update for Roxio if it is going to corrupt iTunes again. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks

Tom

The only isssues I am having after the update and im not sure if its update related or not , is that I can't access my entire itunes library when im looking for music to add to my DvD productions ...I can only access just under half of my entire library. Is that something that anyone else is expeiencing?

DRM protected music files? The program will not allow you to use files that are DRM protected or whose format is not acceptable. You can't even see them.

Acceptable input files types: Audio: Audio CD, MP3, WAV, WMA, Dolby® Digital AC-3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, M4A, MP4, Playlists (WPL, ASX, M3U, PLS, XSPF).

Isn't ITunes AAC? What files formats is it not seeing?

My suggestion (which I have done with regularity) is to keep all of the "purchased" Itunes separate from other audio files you have in a separate playlist you can make. If your library is 100% purchased you will always be able to see them. Others you will have to deal with manually yourself.

Ok,I've had iTunes updated to v10 for about 3 hours now.

I haven't run it too much but I have had 2011's Home app opened for the whole time to rip a bunch of cd's.

Nothing has come up in the whole time to tell me anything about an update.

I've opened and closed it probably 5 or 6 times in those 3 hours.

I was running it when I did the update to iTunes.

So so far, nothing I've found here and both seem to run ok.

I forgot to post again last night but I did run into the update.

It popped up when I opened MyDVD.

It was for an update to SmartSound like Gary had previously said.

I didn't do the update so I'm not sure if it would mess up iTunes or not.

Next time I open it I'll do the update and see what happens.

I was in the middle of something and didn't want to take the time to deal with it.
