Flickering And Flashing Ghost Images

I have Windows XP , just replaced old capture device because it would not work anymore, but the easy VHS to DVD skips frames and makes ghost images flash on screen and will not burn to the DVD.

Where do I find the version number?

I have used 8mm camcorder.

Thanks for the camcorder info but you need to try others as I mentioned…

not so easy EASY VHS TO DVD/UN, my desktop computer has all the requirements but the captured video flickers and flashes ghost images through-out the recording. I have tried different USB ports. What is going wrong? Do I need a new computer?

I tried an old VCR but did not show video or audio on moniter.

With camcorder can veiw on another software program pinnacle studio 7 but only video no audio.

Need to know the Version number and you need to try it with a different source, like a DVD Player or Camcorder to see what happens.
