Data Cd With Custom Graphics

DSef

Question

Hi everyone.

I'm a newbie and was wondering if I can tap into you for some help. I'm creating a Data CD with software launcher file, plus couple of pdfs. I figured out how to do a custom icon for the CD when mounted, as well as background graphics by using other topics in the forum. What I can't figure out is this:

- can the contents of the install CD be locked in to a spot? In other words, can my different folders always appear in the same spot?

- can the folders be customized? They are currently appearing as standard blue Mac folders

- can the CD/DVD "pop up" when inserted? Toast only offers the option for PC based auto run. But there is Mac software out there that launches a splash screen when inserted. Any help on that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Every time you insert a disc, the visual layout is the same as before. Users could change the view, but that only lasts until the disc is unmounted.

Arrange the view as you wish on a temporary partition, then unmount to 'lock' it, before burning using this disk image.

This is a Mac OS Finder feature, not a Toast feature. The same as for .dmg files you may have downloaded.

You could paste custom icons on folders before bringing the data into Toast.

Set "Auto-open disc window" with a nice background picture.
