Roxio Run Around Round Two

nobull56

Question

I'm sorry for venting here and want to thank all the folks that posted to my first thread "Roxio Run Around".

You all had a lot of ideas & didn't ask me to perform the same task over & over again. I guess ‘karma’ would not let VHS 2 DVD & I, too work together.

Maybe one of you can get me a better contact to finish this marathon!!

Believe me I WILL POST if I ever receive the $49.49!!

With these qualifications’ I will now post my September 7 replay to ‘Roxio (want to be) Help’.

"Well let’s recap:

On 8-13 you requested a refund on my behalf. ;

8-18 you indicated that you received a confirmation for my refund & stated "you will receive your refund in 5 to 10 days".;

8-26 you once again told me the checks in the mail (I'm paraphrasing) & would arrive the first week of September.;

9-1 you sent "We will try our very best to keep this web ticket open. However, just to set your expectations, this web ticket will be automatically closed by the system after 5 days of non response from the customer. But rest assured that your refund has been processed. You will receive a check for the amount $49.49 in 7 to 10 business days from the date of confirmation.

",

By my count it is now (excluding week-ends & holidays) 13 days & that also excludes the days of the e-mails!!

I have tried everything you have asked me to do, over & over & over again. Your program did not work, your help desk did not work, the forum had lots of ideas that did not work & my thread of ‘Roxio Runaround’ was closed, cause you promised the ‘fix’ of giving me my money back. What is left?

By the way; I find it insulting that your e-mails ask me to tell you how you are doing & if ‘I'm happy’ with your lack of service."

First & Last Q-marks are my start & stop, others are quotes of coms sent to me.

Any ideas would be wonderful!!!

Perhaps they meant the first "Full" week in September. :unsure:

How much faith do you have in your mailman and your neighbors? (From misplaced mail).

As always thanks for the posts.

Mail & neighbors= twenty plus years no-prob. (good try though)

Full week= that ended on 9/11, still nothing!

Jim, thanks for the seg to post my whole exper (again/ is in old thread 'Roxio Runaround') I don't have the energy & fell that though there are some good peeps here; Roxio is a scam & wast of time!

PS thanks for sending them a note- so far it didn't help

Sorry to convey the bad news but the $50 program you bought does not come with a Lobster Diner…

Refunds are typically slow but there is nothing wrong with a follow-up. The person I contacted is on vacation this week and should be back next week.

Of course your problem will not be the only one on his desk…

So continue to follow-up so it doesn’t fall through the cracks. But don’t expect ’we will fall all over you’ service for a $50 software.

Jim, thanks again, your the only contact that has been even atempted (the trouble ticket e-mails have aperied to be PC genarated).

I do relize that $50 is nothing to most Co's.. I'm one of those peeps that think that if people speak up some times owners (board members) will hear & relize how lack of service or a dezine issue can effect their investment!

Rest assured that if they ever return my $ I'll make only one last post here.

In the meantime 'Roxio Run-around' now questions my address, so here in the third week of broken promesses; here is my responce....

Yes you have my correct address. Would you like me to bill you via Pay Pal?

Did anyone actully send a draft? Did they use postage?

The way help was, I question even this.

Do you want me to uninstall my address & reinstall?

I sent in a note...

I saw a posting, somewhere recently, from Tech Support mentioning they were 'swamped'... Between that and the Check Writer being in another department + Holiday weekend :glare:

Could just be normal :mellow:

I should write up my "experance", ongoing as well as past, with CLEAR :lol:

Heres the next instalment. I recieved an e-mail with the tracking info for my refund.

Below is my responce.

Thank you for your responce. The tracking number you provided is not valid!

The US Postal service has no record of this number. Did you use another country's Postal service?

I would think that if it was sent last month, like you said, we should see tracking info posted.

I'm starting to think maybe legislation has to be passed against any company that exhibits a problematic product and that the store where bought must return your money if bought physically. I think Target gettting swamped with a lot of returns and paying em out and then trying to get reimbursed will raise the quality control level! Just my two cents....

I looked your email address you use in the forums and didn't see anything in our systems. Please PM me with the email address you used to contact Roxio and/or your real name and I'll see where we are at.

Thanks,

Jon

I was wondering what the status was since the 15th? Did the tracking number ever work?

If you looked up the tracking number immediately after getting the mail, it's possible it's not 100% in USPS system (I have experienced this myself with eBay and Amazon purchases - so I'm thinking it may apply here as well).

Thanks,

Jon

The tracking number through the USPS usually never shows it's valid until it's delivered!:rolleyes:

I'd say your refund is on the way and that is what you want!;)
