Question

Tag Editor will read thru the individual mp3 tracks that are in a specfic folder (album) and will show as they are indentified in the Editor Box. When done I close the editor and open the folder and there is no info listed in album, artist, genere, number or duration. I have three other computers and there is no problem in any one of them, they work fine. (I know just use the ones that work and forget the one that dosen't) I want all computers to work and use the Tag Editor as it is suppose to work. i have cleaned, unistalled and reinstalled. One thing that I have noticed is Drag to Disc sure messes with Windows XP.

Souind like a Windows setting rather than a Roxio issue. WHat OS are you using on the computer that doesn't work.

Is this one the same computer you had the issue on almost a year ago? What did you do to fix it then?

Just a reminder, only one computer per license.

The OS on the Computer that does not work is Windows XP. I have used EMC 8 on one computer at a time, I would like to know why on XP it will not work. Yes this is the same computer as last year. Would repair Windows fix this issue, you think or just a waste of time?

That of course depends on you and how much of a problem it is and how long it would take you to re-install all the software and settings. Are the other computers running XP? What service pack?

If Drag to Disc is screwing up XP, then you have another packet writing software on your computer. You can have only one or the other, not two. What other program (video or audio) editing program do you have. Perhaps that is is what is causing the issue rather than Windows.

It didn't sound like you were using it on only one computer at a time since you said you wanted it to work on all computers the same. Just use ti on the computer where it works. Installing and uninstalling will eventually screw something up.

I have EMC 8 and Nero installed on the same Computer that does not work, because I like some of the features of both programs. So if what you are telling me is one computer install nero and a different computer install EMC 8, because they cannot co-exist together. i will try this to see if that works, and thanks for you're help and advice.

EMC 8, and Nero can reside on the same computer, quite nicely. As Steve said, you can't have 2 packet writing programs, on the same computer. That means, if you have Roxio Drag to Disc, you can't install Nero's InCD, but you can install the other programs in the Nero suite.
