Cannot Load Skins, Visual C++ Runtime Error - R6025 pure virtual function call; and Visual C++ Runt

Question

Same problem here. I upgraded from Roxio 2010 to 2011 thinking it might resolve the problem, but no luck. I've worked with tech support, but no solution is evident at this time.

Win 7 Pro 64-bit, Intel duo core, 8 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4600, 1.5 TB SATA, Plextor DVD burner.

All software and O/S updates are current (I use Secunia PSI to keep on top of the updates).

Complete uninstall of Roxio 2010 before installing Roxio 2011

System Registry errors corrected with Uniblue Registry Booster before installation of Roxio 2011

Microsoft .NET Framework is activated

Microsoft C++ runtime is installed (and current)

Three errors messages occur: 1)Cannot Load Skins;2)Visual C++ Runtime Error - R6025 pure virtual function call; and Visual C++ Runtime Error (VCGProxyFileManager13.exe) - Application has requested Runtime to terminate.

Installed and ran application in compatibility mode (XP Sp2). Although I'm setup with administrative priviliges, I tried redoing everything using "run as Administrator"...but no change.

Roxio 2011 actually ran perfectly for 2 - 3 days after I installed it, then it just crapped out on me (no changes to software or hardware during this period)

Tech Support is responsive...but no cigar!

Anti-virus (Norton Internet Security 2010) was turned off during installation...and I even tried turning it off when trying to run the app.

Other apps that check the System Registry(Uniblue Registry Booster is the only one I can think of) are only run in the manual mode...no real-time monitoring.

...and the curious thing (to me) is that Roxio 2011 worked fine for a couple of days after I installed it (I was elated).

Just to double check the installation procedure, I turned off Norton Anti-virus and tried to re-install Roxio 2011.

I received the error message:

"This operating system does not meet the minimum requirements for Roxio Creator 2011."

"This product will not be installed."

Try the repair option rather than the install option.
