olderthandirt
I have an older PC (obviously). I recently upgraded my CD drives to DVD drives. Today was the first time I tried to use "disk copier" to copy a DVD. I put the source DVD in the input drive. I mistakenly put a blank CD in the output drive --- program caught my error re media incompatibility. However, when I put a blank/new DVD-R in the output drive I get the message "not a recordable disc" (tried several new DVD's). The documentation says that disk copier will copy DVD's. Any ideas about what the problem might be? Thanks
Brendon
I can't be more specific without a lot of additional information from you about burner IDs and disc details, but Disc copier won't copy commercial protected discs, and if you're using Easy CD Creator 4 or 5 the program won't recognize modern DVD drives. Thanks, problem solved. I'm using Easy CD Creator 5 --- original version that cam with the PC. What would you recommend for a "novice" user. I love Easy 5, it's sooooo easy to use. Brendon
I thought ECDC 5 was excellent. I don't have a lot of time for software suites where you need a college degree to handle them
