Encoding Restarts In Mydvd

When I try to burn a disk in MyDVD, if the screen saver comes on before encoding is finished, the encoding will restart if I move the mouse. This a WinXP machine on a LAN, where the user has to log back in if the computer is unused for 10 minutes. I don't have admin rights to disable the screen saver. Any suggestions?

Tell whoever has the admin rights to disable the screen saver, or give you admin rights.

While I can do that, the confusing part is that it worked the first time and didn't work the second time. I looked around for settings in Creator 2010 that might suspend the screen saver.

The screen saver isn't a function of Creator 2010. It is a Windows OS function, in the Display Properties.

I know. I meant that some processes in Windows can continue to run. I can save a large Photoshop file, or upload and download large files, and I was hoping that Creator would be designed with a similar ability.

Problem solved - I used the login that I used to burn the first DVD, instead of my regular login. I suspect that the install of the software was done only for the first login.

The best way to overcome the problem of a screen saver kicking in is to completely disable it and use the big button on the monitor instead (even saves you money)
