Easy CD & DVD burning won't handle AC3 audio

Sambeaux

Question

I think I'm having the same problem with AC3 audio when trying to burn DVDs of my vacation video taken with a Sony Handycam - the Easy CD & DVD Burning software will strip the audio & leave only the video. Is there any legal way to get this done? Do I have to buy different software? Thanks much.

Hi,

Easy CD and DVD Burning has been designed to block the use of the most popular Video codecs - XviD and DivX - and the most popular audio codec, AC3. :(

This means that even if you install AC3 and DivX codecs of your own, you still can't use them with this software. Please see THIS TOPIC for a more in-depth discussion on this.

Unfortunately, what you had in your THIS TOPIC link, ended up being wrong, with respect to it being a Roxio oncer. They upgraded it for Win 7.

You were right about the software then, and your last sentence, in Post #5, in that link, pretty well sums it up. :(

Thanks Brendon for your prompt reply. For future reference, since I paid for the software with a credit card & because the software did not do what it promised, a call to the credit card company resulted in a refund to me & a chargeback to the vendor. Thanks again for your help.
