Native Audio Missing On Output

RIVKID

Question

I have a project that I have created some months ago; output to MPEG2 for DVD playback and it plays fine. I performed an output today using what I believe to be the same settings and the native audio is missing entirely. I have other audio tracks (music and sound effects) that play fine in the same project. I have checked the mute and volume on the native audio and the native audio is not muted, I have tried setting the volume from the original 0 to 1 and 2 but that doesn't change anything.

During the edit I can preview and the native audio plays fine; after output to MPG2 format there is no native audio even within Roxio with it's output preview. (I believe that means it's not a codec issue?)

How could I have lost the ability to output the native audio?

TIA! (Thank In Advance!)

What video format are you starting with in the new project. Was it the same last time? Do you have the latest version of Quicktime on your computer? I'm assuming it is a mov, or mpeg4 type format.

XP, Vista or W7. Only Creator 2010 and Creator 2011 are designed to work with W7; other versions may work for awhile or not.

Thanks!

The video format has not changed as it was taken with the same camcorder, Sanyo Xacti CG10 Dual HD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264

QuickTime is updated as of today ;)

Windows 7, 64 bit. I know this version isn't supported, but if it worked with this project once, it should work again on the same settings, shouldn't it?

No. It looks like you got lucky, if it worked before. Steve (sknis) hit the nail, on the head, in his last post.
