Toast 10 Titanium Shows Wrong Time

Question

Hi All,

so, this is a bit puzzling, a friend of mine sent me a .avi file that he self made with a camera, i can play it fine using VLC Player, if i try to use quicktime, it shows a duration of 10 seconds, if i try to load it into toast to burn to DVD, same thing, 10 seconds

however, he and I have same OS (Snow Leopard) and same exact version of toast, and when he puts his into toast, it shows the entire duration of the movie

any thoughts as to what I can try? already called applecare and did an archive and install, any help is appreciated

My problem is very similar.

My toast 10 with BD plug-in was working just fine, then suddenly it will only burn a few minutes then stop but it thinks it burned the whole file. No matter what I try to correct the problem Toast will only burn the same few minutes. It does this when attempting a DVD or BD burn of the same file. Trying the fixes that Roxio suggested did not help. They told me to uncheck the "verify data" box in "Recorder Settings" and make sure that the "Buffer underrun protection" box was checked. Also I updated Toast 10 to the latest version. Toast seems to think that a 7gb file is the same as 7 minutes. This is getting frustrating! Help!
