I want to be able to use HD video files taken on a digital camera in .mov format. I know that I can burn AVCHD files to a standard DVD for playback in HD on my blu-ray player. My question to anyone with experience is: Is there a way to accomplish the same thing with files captured in .mov format? I am considering a new dSLR to replace my current dSLR and HD camcorder (to combine the bst of both in one device.) It records video in .mov files (not AVCHD like my camcorder.) Is there a way to watch these movies on my TV, in HD, without having to plug the camera into the home media system? Can I created an AVCHD disc (through some sort of conversion) with files originally filmed in mov format?
