High Quality/youtube? Please Help..

Lobsang

Question

Hello. I am not a computer expert so excuse me if this is a stupid question.. I have a camera that shoots video in High Quality. If I download a video to Youtube directly from my camera it can be played back in High Quality. However when I edit family videos in Roxio 10 I am unable to get a higher resolution on Youtube than 480. Even when I save the edited video in Roxio's "best quality" there does not seem to be an option above 720X480 that will yield a high quality playback on Youtube. Is this a limitation of the software or am I doing something wrong. Or what can I do?

Thanks, I hope I have explained myself..

If you hve Roxiuo's Creator 2010, then you are doing somehting wrong. If you have Creator 10, then that is an OEM limited functionality program; If oyu have Easy Media Creator 10, then I'm not sure about what is happening.

Add your videos to Edit Video Advanced. Mkae sure you select a 16 by 9 format. That will give you the HD options. Do the editing that you want to do and then clcik on uotput. The output icon is above the preview screen. One of the options is to load the video to YouTube. Use that.

A couple of other things. The video is available in lo definitions almost immediately after it is uyploaded. The Hogh definition version is available sometimes later. When you start watching your video, are you selecting the option to watch it in HD?

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it.. I followed your instructions and the problem I believe was that I was not at 16 by 9. Now I am getting the high quality options. Sorry to bother you with such a simple problem.. Thanks again..
