Primetime

mr_asgard

Question

Well I done it. I mistakenly uninstalled the Sonic PrimeTime proggy from my Toshiba Qosmio F25-AV205. This

machine had PrimeTime preinstalled on it, and makes life a lot better when using Media Center 2005 etc.

Now I am getting a perpetual attempt to reinstall it,.but the PT.MSI file is nowhere to be found.

The recovery media does not give much help except to wipe the sytem and reinstall *everything*. I really

think that is not the right way to get things back.

Thanks muchly.

Since this is an OEM installation on your Toshiba, I'm afraid the only way you're going to get it back on your machine is to use the means that Toshiba have provided you.

You will need to either recover your system using the Toshiba recovery media, or else apply to your suppliers to try and get a freestanding installer from them.

Roxio does not supply copies of software that OEMs have commissioned - that's against the contract - and frankly I don't rate your chances very high of getting Toshiba [or whoever] to go out of their way and make you an installer when they have already provided you with their recovery system which will reinstate the software.

I'm sorry, but I think you'll have to bite the bullet and use the Tosh recovery media if you want the software back. :(
