macirish
I'm combining multiple DVDs into one. No problem. The original DVDs have multiple chapters which are presented in a 'picture' menu. The 'picture' menus are not being imported. Is there a way to create a new menu for the new DVD - automatically - by taking images from the first image in each chapter? The combined DVD has about 200 chapters - so manual creation is not an option. Thank you. Macirish
tsantee
You can have Toast create a new video DVD with menu from videos contained on multiple DVDs. Toast can be instructed to include a scene menu that marks where each chapter begins. The way to do this is to choose DVD video as the format in the Toast Video window. Insert your source DVD and choose DVD with the top button of the Toast Media Browser. (The browser also will automatically see any VIDEO_TS folders on the Desktop or in the Movies folder). Double click on what appears in the browser window and you'll see the individual video titles contained on the DVD. (Double click on a title and you'll see individual chapters within a title if you only want a chapter and not the entire movie). Add what you want from the browser to the main Toast window. Toast extracts the MPEG video from the DVD (or VIDEO_TS) folder. Do this with all the source videos. Now you can make a menu the same as if you were making a DVD of your home movies. There is a check box for including scene menus.
