How Do I Burn A Hd Mpg File On To A Dvd?

mlp52

Question

Hi Again,

I've made a slideshow..........edited it in advanced video edit..........exported & burned it as an ARCHD 1920x1080i file. It is now on my desktop & I can watch it. BUT, I want to make a HD DVD from it.

I don't know how to do that. Have checked the manual, but it doesn't say. Any available help?

thanks

I'm doing the same thing for a friend at this very moment..

Go to MyDVD from the opening Roxio menu and chose AVCHD for your project..Choose your menu design from the available list, then add the slide-show movie you created, If you like re-name the movie and customize any or all menu elements to your liking or leave it at default, and press the red button to start burning the project, make sure the burn-setting is set to the best AVCHD file format ....it is recommended to Burn an ISO file first for better results and testing on the PC before burning, then after testing use the ISO file to burn to DVD, you can find Roxio's ISO burner/player on the Roxio main opening menu under the 'tool' drop down list as "load disc image"...each of these steps provide a "Help" menu at the top that explains the page you are looking at..

Keep in mind that burning or creating an ISO file on HiDef AVCHD takes quite a while depending on your system, I just checked on my progress on the other PC, and a 55 minute rendering is into the third hour on that relative fast system..you also need sufficient HDD space to accommodate the ISO.

Edit: Also, on MyDVD set the quality setting to "same as original"...
