I need major help on transferring VHS tapes and Hi8 tapes to DVD. I have been transferring VHS tapes with no problem and have found that process very easy. However, suddenly I start receiving the message "Insert recordable DVD" and so I replace the DVD in the tray with a new one (in case that one is defective) and the program continues to say "Insert recordable DVD". I have tried unplugging the converter and shutting the program down and starting over but continue to receive the message. I have even gone so far as to uninstall the program and re-install it. Nothing seems to work. Of course, I can't record to the DVD unless the program recognizes it. HELP!
My other issue is I cann't figure out how to record from my camcorder (playing the Hi8 tapes) to a DVD. I can get audio but no video. I even tried using the Super video cable - no luck. Any ideas?
I hope someone can help me soon! I have a ton of these to transfer. Thank you!
