Video Wave 12 Cannot Generate Video Item

I created a project with photos, video and audio and text in Video Wave 12 and it opened several times and after 2011 came out, it will not open and error message "Cound not generate video item, clip interfaces not supported..cound not create the rendered object..this might be caused by Direct X9.0 not being installed.

 

It comes up in the Video wave, but the play button is gray and inoperable.

It's pure coincidence (the timing), however it seems strange that you lost DirectX

 

Downoad and install it from here:

Also, while you are at it, download and install the latest video drivers from the maker of your graphics card (nVidia, ATI or whoever)
