Can Toast 10 Combine Files Like Imovie

JB2833

Question

With iMovie you are able to import lots of different video clips and combine them into one video. How do I do this on Toast 10. With my new Sony Camcorder, I have a lot of files that get created (each time you stop recording). So I'm trying to splice all those files together into one big file so I can have that one file play as a chapter on a DVD menu. How do I do this?

Thanks for pointing that out. I never noticed that. Great find!

I have merged clips, from EyeTV, but Toast wipes out the chapter markers. And after ,merging there appears to be no way to add them back in.

The edit function does not allow this as far as I can tell. The result is a chapter marker for each clip.

Nope, I learned you can do it in Toast. Once all the clips come in if you highlight all the clips in the drop-in area then go up to the menu. I think it is Edit-Combine Clips or Merge Clips... something like that but there is a menu option that lets you combine the clips into one movie before burning a DVD so that you can have them all play as one file and have just one button on the DVD menu

You need to do that in iMovie. Then choose the iMovie project file using the Toast Media Browser to add the video to Toast. Choose Movies with the top button of the Media Browser to access the iMovie projects saved in the default Movies folder.
