Hangs On Splash Screen - Will Not Load

pablo_66

Question

I installed Roxis easy VHS to DVD yesterday without issue. However, when launching the program it hangs on the Splash Screen and will not load beyond that.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. No other issues appear to be occuring on the computer other than this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

otohns: How do you know your version if the program won't start?

Or is your problem completely different…

The "splah screen" that I see say ROXIO EASY VHS TO DVD and at the bottom left says the build/version as I mentioned above. It just hangs there without proceeding.

ANy thoughts?

thanks

I also have the same issue.

I have tried to initialize the program and the introduction screen appears without moving forward, it just hangs there. I have tried to use the installation disk to try and repair the program and I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. The results are the same.

The program use to work on my Windows 7, 64 bit machine.

Additionally I have used Norton 360 to clean and defrag my registry after removal. I have disabled Norton 360 during install. I have cleaned all cookies and history from my computer and web browsing. I have used the disk to remove my product, and I have tried to use the control panel to remove the product. I have tried to use the .exe command on the disk instead of the auto install feature. I still have the same issue.

Any assistance to this issue would be greatly appreciated :D

Ditto for me. I tried to launch all the options, but every one hung at some point - most with "No Permission for the Application" error messages. I removed and reinstalled the program a number of times, both from the CD and from my hard drive after copying all folders to it. There were many inconsistencies i.e. one time a desktop icon was produced, but not again. When I clicked the icon, it would load different menu pages i.e. one time "Audio/Music" only, another time "Video/Movie" and "Audio/Music", but never the same twice. After 6 hours messing around with the program, I will be returning it to the retailer for a refund. Bad karma...
