Reading Multi-Session Data Cd's In Windows

johndh2

Question

I have searched in most of the places I can think of and haven't found how to make a multi-session data CD that I can read in Windows. I think I've tried this with both Win XP and 7 but neither works. I record data to an open CD with Toast 9 with the Mac & PC mode. I am then able to see all sessions on my Mac but only the last recorded session on my PC. I must be doing something wrong either in the recording or in the reading on the PC. Who can help me get this straight? And is there any way to go back to previous failures and open all sessions on the PC (short of re-recording with some different setting)?

Thank you. John Hixson

The PC side is burned as ISO 9660 which should appear on the PC as a single session containing all the content from each of your multi-session burns. I haven't actually looked to see if that is happening (I rarely use a PC). If you burn your multi-session discs as ISO 9660 rather than Mac & PC that may be a workaround if it isn't working correctly now.
